About Solution Focused Hypnotherapy
Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy is a modern, evidence-based approach that combines effective talking therapy with the deeply relaxing state of hypnosis. It helps you focus your attention on solutions, identify your own strengths, and take positive steps towards your goals.
Your brain's neuroplasticity - its ability to reorganise itself - is one of its most remarkable features. Like going to the gym, neuroplasticity allows your brain to form new pathways and connections, for healthier, more positive reactions over time. Because of this rewiring capability, recovery and development are always possible.
In essence, we are teaching the brain to react differently, using integrative methods that address mind and body. I use therapeutic techniques that can help re-wire your brain to respond to stress and anxiety in a way that promotes clear thinking, calm and resilience.​

What to Expect in Your Session
Initial Consultation
The initial consultation is the first step before any hypnotherapy programme. You'll learn how hypnotherapy works, discuss your goals and what you want to achieve. Please note that there is no hypnosis during the initial consultation. This is your chance to ask any questions and decide if hypnotherapy is right for you. I will ask you some background questions and discuss what success will look like for you, so that hypnotherapy sessions can be tailored to meet your goals and circumstances.
A relaxation audio track will be sent afterwards, for you to listen to for added support between sessions.

Hypnotherapy Session
Each hypnotherapy session begins with solution focused coaching. This starts the process of teaching the brain to form new connections. for healthier, more positive reactions. This is followed by a relaxing hypnosis session, where your brain processes positive change. During hypnosis, you'll comfortably recline or lie back. A relaxing sound track will play in the background. You can feel free to close your eyes, but you will not be asleep. You will remain aware and in control throughout the session.
Online sessions, are via zoom, all you need is a good wifi connection and a quiet, comfortable space. Wearing headphones will improve your experience.

Stop Smoking or Vaping
The stop smoking and vaping programme is provided in an initial consultation plus a single, extended hypnotherapy session. This involves an initial discussion to understand your personal circumstances and motivations for change to a nicotine- free life.
This is followed by a tailored, extended hypnotherapy session. We re-wire thought patterns, for healthier reactions to nicotine habits. Many clients find they are successfully nicotine free after only one programme. An audio track will be provided for you to listen to each evening, for a week beforehand to help you prepare for your appointment.
